40 Year-Old Man Found Dead In Front Of Rick Ross' House

Life imitating art? Apparently. Born again kingpin Rick Ross is reportedly being sought after by police for information related to the fatal shooting of a 40 year-old man in front of his Miami home Wednesday (February 29) morning. I’m not even going to go in on the sometimes thin but often times dense line between entertainers and their camouflaged identity. I’ll save that for it’s own post. Peep the deets below.

According to the report made public by TMZ:

Cops are looking to speak with rapper Rick Ross … after a 40-year-old man was shot to death in front of his Miami Gardens home this morning … TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell us … Ross was NOT home at the time of the shooting and at this point in the investigation, he’s not considered a suspect. We’re told cops found the victim laying inside a gate at the home. (TMZ)

Additonal reports claim local police were called to the scene around 7 a.m.

Police say Ross was not at his home at the time of the death and are not treating him as a suspect. Ross often lets friends stay at the property and has a different mailing address. A car belonging to victim was removed from property by police. Just before 7 a.m., Miami Gardens officers were sent to check out reports of shots fired in the area of Northwest 32nd Avenue and 181st Street. (Miami Herald)

Evidently, a witness (read: snitch) has already come forward with details on what went down.

Police were driving near Ross’s neighborhood this morning around Northwest 181st Street and 32nd Avenue when they spotted the dead body of a 40-year-old man inside the gate of the rapper’s front lawn. “I was there when there were shots. I don’t know what car, but they got away down the street,” one witness tells Local 10, suggesting either a drive-by shooting, or that the shooter or shooters made off in a getaway car. New Music: Stalley – Volley Express ft. Scar

Not a huge fan of Stalley but I know tons of folks (read: guys) that are. Apparently this is the 8th and final record in his Songs By Me, Stalley series. What’s next? Savage Journey to the American Dream! Unfortunately we don’t know the release date until he hits 50,000 followers on Twitter. What’s up with these new artists setting milestone markers according to Twitter? Sounds kinda whack to me…but that’s just me.

Frank Ocean Threatened With Lawsuit If He Performs “American Wedding”

You won’t see Frank Ocean perform perform “American Wedding” at Coachella this year as Eagles founder, Dan Henley, who wrote the song which Ocean samples, said he would sue the artist if he does sing it. The song, which samples Henley’s “Hotel California,” is one of Ocean’s hits from his debut mixtape nostalgia, ultra.

Instead of getting upset at the threats made by Henley, Ocean took to his twitter to expressed his gratitude by saying, “he threatened to sue if I perform it again. I think that’s fuckin awesome.” That indeed, is awesome
